Conventional equipment for extracting groundwater includes bailers and submersible pumps; however, due to the structure of these devices, they cannot extract water from a specific depth without disturbance. Marui's "Continuous Groundwater Sampling Device" allows for the extraction of groundwater in an undisturbed state at every 1-meter depth, making it a groundbreaking product that enables a three-dimensional understanding of contamination concentration distribution. The sampling process involves quietly lowering a single inner pipe with a strainer to the designated position in the observation well, and once the groundwater stabilizes, an outer pipe is inserted around the outer side of the inner pipe. Finally, both the inner and outer pipes are pulled up together, and by separating the two sampling pipes, which are sealed with water at each depth, groundwater can be extracted in an undisturbed state.
